Greg Simmons Guitar Active in the Tempe/Phoenix music scene, Greg is a seasoned professional with a passion for guitar. In September 2000, he won the title of Best Guitarist by the Phoenix New Times. In addition to his performance career, he has spent 10 years developing a successful practice as a private guitar instructor. Greg enjoys teaching students of all ages and abilities and believes that a diverse mix of students helps him stay abreast of current trends in music and guitar. Chris Forenz Guitar/Bass Chris has been a working musician in the Phoenix area for over 8 years. Playing music since age 8, he has dedicated his life to studying, performing and teaching multiple instruments and styles of music. Chris's experience comes from countless hours of private instruction and years of performing. He has studied, performed nad taught a wide array of music genres including alternative rock, blues, classical, bluegrass, and metal. Chris works well with students of any age. In addition to stressing reading, rhythm drills and ear training, Chris likes to have fun by helping his students learn their favorite songs. Mike Miller Bass/Classical Guitar Mike began playing classical guitar in 1986. In 1990, he attended Ohio's Sinclair Community College as a Music Education Major. In 2000, he performed with the San Marcos Symphony in Chandler and also released a solo album featuring his own compositions. His experience also includes countless performances at weddings, coffee houses, art shows, and many other special events. One of Mikes strong points is his ability to present everything in a clear, step by step manner, a method he has applied to his other instrument, the bass guitar. In 1992, he began playing bass, aided by the instruction of Bunny Brunel (Chic Corea, Herbie Hancock, Al Di Meola). He has been teaching guitar and bass since 1996 and continues to perform locally. Matt Myers Drums Drum instructor Matt Myers has been teaching beginning to advanced level drum students for over ten years. Having played drums since age 8, he offers a wealth of knowledge drawn from his extensive experience. He is known for his love of working in different musical contexts, in both stage and studio settings. | All of our instructors give their lessons in a professional/private room here at the store. All you need is your own instrument in order to practice at home. We provide everything else including: guitar/bass amplifiers and drums. |
